NAKODA Energy Services supplies best-in-class industrial flameless heating and fuel gas services to the oil and gas industry, delivered by fully trained and certified crews. Our purpose-built fuel gas systems can power entire frac spreads, drilling rigs, and water heating operations — including generators, boilers, and superheaters — with real-time monitoring across the entire site for maximum diesel displacement.
Headquartered in Grande Prairie with a service location in Fort St. John, NAKODA serves operators across Alberta and Northeastern British Columbia.

History and experience

Partnering with West Moberly First Nation in 2025, NAKODA works to enhance community participation and build capacity for Indigenous engagement within the energy sector.
Founded in 2014, NAKODA has built and continuously improved its specialized fleet of award-winning flameless heaters and purpose-built fuel gas equipment to meet the growing demands of the oil and gas industry. Our equipment has supported operators including ConocoPhillips, Shell, Ovintiv, Murphy, and CNRL, backed by exceptional field service, deep technical expertise, and a robust safety culture.

What We Offer

Our fleet and services include:

  • BASECAMP flameless heaters — smart 3-in-1 unit combining a flameless heater, 27 kW generator, and LED light tower. Delivers 750,000 BTU equivalent output with best-in-class fuel performance and a 100°C temperature rise.
  • Fuel gas services
    • Completions — specialized fuel gas and bi-fuel equipment designed for Tier 2, Tier 4, 100% Nat Gas and Turbine frac pumps, with expertise in high-pressure, liquids-rich gas management
    • Drilling — purpose-built equipment designed for drilling applications, including generators and onsite boilers
    • Water heating — equipment designed to deliver gas to superheaters in order to keep water warm throughout frac operations
